Great value for the Summer Sizzler @ €44pp that included a nice bottle of Syrah Cabernet, and a welcoming full breakfast with a great variety. A charming area for Resturants & Bars, & near all the Venues, defiantly would stay there again, local buses right outside that take you into Grafton St & Herny. All in all a pleasant stay.

Very good sejour. We were very satisfied and so happy to be there. Dublin center is very close, and the staff of the hotel very kind and good. Think you, we will return as soon as possible. JP POIRIER

Stayed here with my wife over the May bank Holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the stay ,it's the third time we have stayed in the last two years. The place was buzzing and seems to be coming back to it's old self after a slightly forlorn period earlier on.The rooms are warm cosy and nicely newly painted as a matter of fact there was a pleasant smell of new paint in the corridors. The staff were friendly and helpful, however we had the fish and chips off the bar menu which was not great, the batter on the fish being too heavy also drink in the bar was a bit pricy, €5.50 for a bottle of Miller equates to €9.47 for a pint ! but on the other hand the room rate was extremely good value and I suppose it's a case of swings and roundabouts. In conclusion we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recomending the hotel and will be back again as soon as possible

had a great time and the staff were great. The only thing is maybe the rooms could be modernised as they are quite old.

We stayed in a family room which was very spacious and comfortable. The staff at reception were professional and helpful. The breakfast room was welcoming and very well arranged which made getting breakfast easy, and the breakfast staff were very efficient at bringing tea/coffee. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. All-in-all our overnight stay in a family room with breakfast and parking included was very good value and enjoyable for all the family.

I stayed for 2 nights over the Easter break with my mum & daughter and we had a very pleasant stay. The staff in the Dubliner Bar were very nice and very helpful. The rooms were a little dated but still very clean and tidy. One of the only things that the room lacked was not having a safe in it because we had to carry everything around with us. I did ask at reception and they said that there was a general safe for everybody but I wasn't to sure of that! We had dinner in the restaurant on Good Friday, which was also very good. Overall a pleasant stay and I would probably stay again. Thanks.

I recently stayed for an overnight in the Hotel. I was pleased with everything room was clean and comfortable. Staff were effecient. ambience in bar was nice. I didnt spend alot of time in the Hotel as I was there for business. I didnt eat in the Hotel either. The only complaint I would have is the net curtain in the room was not hanging properly and had alot of stains. I would however stay at the hotel again if I was on business in the area. The service was fantastic - front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were really well cleaned and tidied each morning and Lemine in the coffee shop was great. I really felt welcomed and at home for my few days with you. I also want to say a big thank you to Fiona, who cleaned my room on 22 April and found my passport and clothes that I had left behind. When I called the front desk to ask if someone had found my things, they immediately sorted it all out and were very very helpful. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that. Thank you and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Overall, very good. The breakfast was excellent and the hotel staff were friendly. However, we did have a problem with our room card as it was blocked and we couldn't get in! Apart from that everything was fine. Thank you.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Particularly, I appreciated the staff - everybody was very friendly and efficient. The food was nice and the conference rooms were very good. The rooms were spacious and well kept. Also, its location is to be commended with town buses and air coaches stopping in front of the hotel - everything was nice and easy.

The receptionists were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel in general seemed well run and efficient. The only reason we haven't given it 5 stars is that the room was a little old fashioned (a lot of dark varnished wood) and the TV was old and not particularly sophisticated. This didn't bother us as the room was clean and comfortable and there are better things to do in Dublin than watch the TV. We saw that parts of the hotel were being renovated and I imagine the rooms are being modernised. Once that's done, I would thoroughly recommend the Ballsbridge Hotel.

The rooms were comfortable and the staff very friendly. However, the rooms were too hot and there was no thermostat to regulate the heating in the rooms.

Overall we had a pleasant stay, and we were most impressed with the friendly and efficient staff, our room was very warm and could have done with being a little less so, and it would be nice if wifi in the rooms was complimentary as in other hotels we have stayed in. However, we would have no problem recommending Ballsbridge Hotel to friends and associates.

Checked in at 12.30 and the room had already been made up. Reception was very welcoming. Dinner was wonderful--great quality food! Bar staff seemed a little uncoordinated and forgot about us for a while; I had to go over and remind them we had ordered deserts. Room was excellent, though a bit of a trek from the reception (we were located in the Towers). Breakfast was possibly the best I've ever had in Ireland; the fry was fresh, non-greasy and had flavour (not just salty) and the continental side was fresh too. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. We'll definitely be back! Thanks!

We had a most enjoyable stay at the Ballsbridge hotel staying three nights on a family break deal. We found the breakfasts to be excellent and really enjoyed our evening meal. Its close to the city centre so we were able to walk in with three kids. The staff were polite and professional at all times.

Overall, we had a very pleasant 3 night stay over the Easter weekend at your hotel. As a family of 5 (two adults and 3 children) we got a very spacious family room at the end of the corridor which was very adequate for our needs. The staff at reception were very friendly and accommodating. The parking was included in our deal which was excellent and we were given numerous exit tickets which meant we could pop in and out for a drive whenever we wanted to. It was excellent value for money considering it was a busy bank holiday weekend. The hotel is situation in a fantastic location. The hotel was very family friendly with lots of seating area in the lobby area for families to sit and relax. The bar had good live music each night and had a good atmosphere – it was more like a local pub which was nice. A lot of hotel bars can be quite dull and boring. There are only a few negative points that I would like to mention but by no means spoilt our weekend for us. 1. The mattress on our bed was quite worn and stained. We could see this clearly each morning as there wasn’t a proper mattress cover on the bed and the sheet moved a lot in the night - probably because it was slightly too small for the bed. This was also the case for the quilts used on the sofa bed where my two little girls slept. 2. The service and food in the restaurant was poor to average. We had one night’s dinner included in our package and decided to eat in the restaurant on the Saturday night. Having been assured by the receptionist when checking in that we did not need to make a reservation, we subsequently got a “tut tut” from the waiter for not having a booking when we went in – ever though there were only a couple of tables occupied at the time. The menu was very limited. The service was very poor – we waited nearly an hour for our main course – all in all, it took over 3 hours for the entire meal which was far too long when trying to keep 3 small children in order and entertained. 3.The selection of cereals, juices, bread and fresh fruits for breakfast was very good but the hot food wasn’t great and wasn’t hot. But, as i said at the top, we had a very enjoyable stay and I would definately stay at your hotel again in the future. I hope this helps. Regards, Mary Gannon

Nice hotel close to city center and diplomatic area of Dublin. Clean rooms, some minor problems in bathroom and heating. Definitely less than 4 star.

We picked up a great offer of a 3 day break (£185) for the family (4) and enjoyed our stay at the Ballsbridge Hotel. I have been here many times over the years (previously Jury's Hotel) and the accommodation was spacious and clean albeit a bit tired, the Manager and staff assured us it was in the process of an update. The lobby and bar area are good and friendly. Reception staff are very helpful and bar and restaurant staff friendly too. The beds were an issue and a bit lumpy for the kids, ours was too soft (you can't win all the time) and the furniture was tired. The heating was not working in the room on arrival but there was a heater and it was sorted the next day, without having to ask. What doesn't need updating is the friendly service and we found the stay to be good value too. We look forward to our next stay. Keep up the high service standards and improve the room decor. The location is perfect for the RDS and we took a tour of the Aviva stadium which was great if you are a sports fan.

i would just like to take this opportunity to let you know that my son and i totally enjoyed our stay with you on Tuesday night last after attending the soccer match at the Aviva. we found access to the hotel and parking was trouble free and when we booked in we were met with a lovely warm welcome and most informative as it was our first time staying with you and the girl at the reception ( regrettably i never got her name) just couldn't be more helpful, your door men on the night were so pleasant even thought it was a very busy night with the soccer match and they also were very helpful. As i said to my husband when we got home, i intend staying with you again on my next visit to Dublin. I would have no problem in highly recommending the hotel to any of my friends and work colleagues. thanks again for making our stay with you so pleasant and enjoyable. Looking forward to seeing you in the very near future. yours sincerely, Breda Griffin, Cooltubrid, Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford

Beware off the bird droppings if you park your car in the car park, they ruined my car. Otherwise my room was fine and the breakfast was lovely

I have stayed at this hotel several times now and never been disappointed. Sometimes due to my flight times I require an early check-in or a late check-out or sometimes both and they have always managed to accommodate me. Rooms are always clean and the staff are always friendly, excellent value for money.

Great stay again! I stayed here in October with my girlfriend for two nights and we really enjoyed it so when we were going to see the killers in the 02 in February I knew exactly were to stay. In fact we enjoyed our February stay so much that we extended our two night stay to 3 nights :). I have entered your 2 night competition now so hopefully Im lucky because I do want to come again. The staff are extremely helpful and we even had wine delivered to our room. The food was also very enjoyable and the selection in your breakfast buffet is top notch Thanks again Cian Noonan

Great location, secure parking, security access to accomodation area, nice bar with a lovely pint & good food. Buffet breakfast, eat as much as you like. Fruit, cereals, breads, juices, fry up, nice coffee too! Rooms were clean if a wee bit dated, grand and warm, decent shower, plenty of towels. Staff were friendly & helpful. No complaints really & for that kind of money this hotel is great value. What more do you want for €75 per night?!

We availed of the Dine & Dream offer - dinner was fantastic especially the desserts, great service. The room was large, good powerful shower, very quiet on third floor in the Towers, bed comfortable, room a bit cold at the start. Very convenient 15min walk into the city centre. Overall very pleased with our stay and would recommend.

From when we walked through the front door the relaxation began. Courteous, friendly and pleasant staff welcome you to the hotel. Cleanliness is very obvious straight away. Corridors, woodwork and carpets all spick and span and not a speck of dust to be found. Rooms fresh and modern (ours was the de luxe room and very spacious along with a beautiful clean bathroom). The Dubliner served up lovely food with nice staff, although it was a Wednesday night, staff were under pressure in the serving department and it showed, but hey, we were relaxing so who was in a hurry. Bar staff very attentive and friendly. Following morning breakfast more that ample and varied, staff again friendly and 'on the ball'. On checking-out the staff on reception very pleasant and helpful. Definitely a new place for us to stay in Dublin and have been recommending it to family and friends since. The Dine and Dream offer is a 'steal'.

1. Easy check-in process, the member of staff was efficient and friendly 2. Both rooms on the 3rd floor were spacious, clean and met our requirements 3. The temperature in the rooms on the first night was a bit high with no obvious controls to reduce the temperature 4. The breakfasts were efficiently organised and very good 5. The bar service was friendly and efficient 6. Overall good value for money

Hotel did the job. Only issue was my room was next to the lifts and they make quite a bit of noise. But other than that I was pretty happy for the money I paid for the room and breakfast.

Very good value for money. Rooms are spacious, a small bit dated but nice. Very convenient for travelling to/from the airport as the bus drops you off and picks you up right outside. I attended an event at the hotel so booked the room the night before because of this but would consider this hotel in future visits to Dublin.
